Intern Nabbed For Theft In Mzimba

Police in Mzimba have arrested a 29-year old man who was working as an intern at the Mmbelwa district council for allegedly stealing rims of paper, toner and two tablet phones used for data collection from council offices.
Mzimba police spokesperson Peter Botha  has identified the suspect as Gibson Kapeye, who hails from Simon Village, Traditional Authority Kyungu in Karonga district
Kapeye was working in the Human Resource department at the Council until his arrest on Tuesday following investigations.
Botha says police have managed to recover one tablet which was sold at K20000 in Kasungu and the other one which he kept at his home.
Kapeye has been charged with the offence of theft by public servant.
