A 73 year old man identified as Robins Kaira who went missing two days ago has been found dead at Nyika National Park in Rumphi.

Incharge for Chilinda camp in the park Poland Munthali said together with his relatives they discovered his body today at a place called SS Corner.

Munthali suspect that the deceased was attacked and killed by elephants on his way in the protected forest.

Rumphi Police station spokesperson Sub Inspector Noel Kamchenga confirmed receiving a report of the death but could not give more information.

Kaira hailed from Kamerazovu village under Traditional Authority Nthalire in Chitipa district.
