The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) Director General Daud Suleman has announced that Facebook and YouTube monetization for Malawi would be authorized in Malawi by 2024.

The development, said Daud, is key for the nation’s content providers and a significant turning point for the industry.

Suleman was speaking at the MBC Entertainer of the Year award in Lilongwe when

MACRA sponsored the Social Media Influencer award won by Innocent Kumchedwa of Zodiak Broadcasting Station.
