Nkhata Bay Police spokesperson Kondwani James has confirmed the matter.

Nkhoma met his fate on 27 December 2023 when he was mopping out rubbish from his house’s drainage system when the lighting struck and knocked him down unconsciously.

Nkhoma died upon arrival at Kande Health Center. Poostmortem conducted revealed that the death was due to electric shocks produced by the lightning.
