Death has been announced of Democratic Progressive party (DPP) Deputy Campaign Director General responsible for central region Samuel Philimon has died.

Philimon died today at Blantyre Adventist Hospital after a long illness.

The cause of his death is not known at the moment.

Meanwhile funeral details are still sketchy.
