Information sourced by this publication indicates that former United Transformation Movement (UTM) spokesperson Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo is scheduled to launch his own political party.

Mwenifumbo resigned from UTM months ago and currently is the board chair of the Northern Region Water Board.

According to sources, the party will be called National Development Party (NDP) and Mwenifumbo will now be the Interim President.

Mwenifumbo is scheduled to contest as President in the forthcoming 2025 polls.
