One of the country’s singers, Jafali Thom, who became famous for leading the band Fikisa has died today morning.

Daniel Tambala said that Thom died this morning at his village in Mtaja in Machinga district.

His producer Alfred Tambala has confirmed that this happened after a short illness, and he was also suffering from asthma.

The late Thom was known for songs such as “Akamwire” and “Nantchengwa” and he also worked with other musicians such as Tay Grin, Alfred Tambala among others.
