A group called friends of Atupele Muluzi has advised citizens of this country to avoid taking part in protests against the government, saying protests are not bearing fruits.

Speaking at a press conference on 14 December 2023, the secretary general of the group Stain Chidothi said that the leaders who are leading the protests in the country have no intentions of favoring Malawians but they are just favoring their own things.

Chidothi has also asked people to avoid voting for political leaders based on the party they belong to, but based on their advice for the development of this country.

The group said its aim is to encourage people to vote for Atupele Austin Muluzi for the seat of president in 2025 election.
