Former President Peter Mutharika is tomorrow scheduled to preside over the National Governing Council (NGC) meeting for the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in Mangochi.

The party has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.

According to the statement, delegates to the meeting are scheduled to elect a person who will chair the DPP’s elective conference.

The party will also among other things discuss way forward of the party ahead of the 2025 Presidential election.
