DPP NGC Member Ken Msonda says Mutharika lack leadership

Veteran politician who is also a National Governing Council (NGC) member of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Ken Msonda has said former President Peter Mutharika lacks leadership and direction.

Msonda’s sentiment follows a decision by Mutharika to fire DPP Secretary General Grezelder Jeffrey who recent called for NGC meeting in the capital Lilongwe.

Mutharika has replaced Jeffrey wa Jeffrey with Dr. Clement Mwale.

In an interview with the press Msonda the firing of Jeffrey wa Jeffrey is a contempt of Court.

“Surprisingly, a legal scholar and international law professor has appointed a person (who is not even an NGC member) to the position of Party Secretary-General to replace a Secretary General who was duly elected during the 2018 National Elective Conference. This is a very serious Contempt of Court.,” Nsonda said.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey wa Jeffrey has described her firing as ‘foolish’.
