Cashgate convict Osward Lutepo has been released from Chichiri Prison after completing his jail term.

Lutepo was sentenced to serve11 year jail term by Judge Redson Kapindu in 2015 after he was found guilty of conspiracy to defrauding government and money laundering.

He was accused of mismanaging public funds amounting to over 4.2 Billion Kwacha.

Meanwhile, sources within the Malawi Prison Service have confided to MIJ Online, that Lutepo is on the list of inmates due for release this week.
