2 Nabbed For Cannabis Possesion In Mchinji

Police in Mchinji have arrested two men for allegedly being found in possession of Cannabis Sativa without permit.
Spokesperson for Mchinji Police station Limbani Mpinganjira, has identified the two as Joseph Banda and Chisomo Hegani who reportedly had 80 kilograms and 58 kilograms of the chamba respectively.
According to Mpinganjira, Police arrest the suspects  at their  business premises after a tip-off they were trading in the illicit drugs.
They seized the commodity, pending examination by experts from Chitedze Research Station in Lilongwe and later to be disposed of by burning.
“The suspects are expected to be dragged to court soon to answer the charge of Being Found in Possession of Cannabis Sativa Without License contrary to section 8 subsection (b) of the Dangerous Drugs Act,” says Mpinganjira.
Joseph Banda and Chisomo Hegani Both hails from Mchinji district.
