Nkhotakota Police Nab 17-Year-Old Ex-Convict for Alleged Burglary and Theft

A 17-year-old ex-convict has been apprehended by the Nkhunga Police in Nkhotakota for alleged house breaking and theft.

According to Nkhunga Police spokesperson Andrew Kamanga, the suspect, whose name is withheld, burglarized James Chiona’s house and made away with K300,000 while Chiona was at work.

The Nkhunga police detectives nabbed the suspect at the Nkhunga trading center, where he was reportedly spending the stolen money.

The minor is set to face charges under sections 309 and 278 of the penal code and is expected to appear in court soon.
