Imbibers in the country have also started feeling the pinch of the devaluation of the kwacha as Castel Malawi Limited has adjusted upward prices of beer effective today.

Castel Malawi Limited Head of Sales and Business Development Johan Maree has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to the new prices, Castel beer is now selling at MK900 from MK800 while Kuchekuche is now selling at MK1,000.00 from Mk900.00.

Carlsberg Green and Special is now selling at MK1, 200 from MK1,000.00.

Maree has attributed the rise to kwacha devaluation announced by the Reserve Bank of Malawi.
