Police in Liwonde have taken into custody three men Samson Wyson Banda 35, Moses Chiwaya 23, and Dailes James 30, on suspicion that they are connected to a number of criminal cases happening in Liwonde and surrounding areas.

Following a spate of breaking offences in Liwonde and surrounding areas,

Liwonde detectives on November 3, 2023, carried out an intelligence driven operation which resulted into arrest of the said three suspects.

The able detectives have also managed to recover the following items suspected to have been stolen; three Plasma Television Screens, two laptops, two pairs of Police boots, ten smart mobile phones, hometheatre, four rolls of 2.5mm electric cables, and two electric shavers worthy over K5million.

The suspects have already been charged with Burglary, Breaking Into a building and committing a felony therein, and Theft, and will appear in court soon to answer those charges levelled against them.

Authority Sitola, while both Moses Chiwaya and Dailesi James, come from Mpita village in the area of Traditional Authority Chamba, all from Machinga district.

Police therefore strongly warn those who indulge themselves in criminal activities that they will be tracked down and apprehended, so that the big arm of the law take its necessary course.
