Police in Lilongwe have recovered a vehicle Nissan March which was stolen by unknown thugs on Monday night.
Lilongwe Police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Chigalu, the thugs hijacked the car and kicked out the owner from the vehicle identified as Steven Kalima.
It is said that the suspects forcefully opened the vehicle and kicked the owner out, before escaping with the car.
The owner reported the matter to police.
The vehicle has been recovered at the border between Malawi and Zambia.
The suspects are currently on the run.
