Soccer fans against Walter Nyamilandu, holds peaceful protest in Mzuzu

concerned soccer fans led by Young Human Rights Network on Wednesday stormed the streets in Mzuzu pushing for resignation of Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Walter Nyamilandu.

The group trading under the banner ‘people concerned’ led by the Young Human Rights Network, are accusing Nyamilandu of failing to develop Luwinga Technical Development Centre to benefit the northern region soccer lovers.

The Concerned Citizens presented their complaints to Mzuzu City Council.

This comes almost three days after another grouping calling itself ‘Concerned Football Enthusiasts’ asked Nyamilandu not to stand again in the coming polls.

FAM is expected to hold elections in December this year
