Dodma supports disaster survivors in Lilongwe

Department of Disaster Management Affairs (Dodma) has donated relief items to 381 households affected by rainstorms in Lilongwe District.

Speaking on Monday when he visited the survivors in Traditional Authority (T/A) Kalolo, Dodma commissioner for disaster affairs Charles Kalemba described the disaster as critical, saying majority of the affected were women and children.

“We will ensure that the affected households receive survival packages which include maize, beans and non-food items such as kitchen utensils and plastic papers,” he said.
