Universal Industries Ltd has contributed Nyika water and Gluco Power biscuits to be used by the participants of this year’s Mothers Fun Run in Nkhatabay.

Chief executive officer for the company, Nitin Menon, upon presenting the donation said that this support is to ensure successful participation of the exercise by those who are going to run or walk.

Said Menon, “Where people are running or walking there is always a need for water and the biscuits are going to re-energise the participants.”

Mothers Fun Run (MFR) is an initiative by Nation Publications Ltd (NPL) where they fundraise and support a particular district hospital and its satellite health centers per year.

Head of Business and Organizational Development at NPL, McDonald Kadewa, expressed gratitude towards the donation.

In his words, there is always a need for partners to help in ensuring that the event goes on smoothly.

Said Kadewa, “Actually this is not the first time Universal Industries Ltd is making this contribution towards the MFR initiative. We are very appreciative of their support.”
