Man Feared Dead in Nsanje After Crocodile Attack Along Shire River

A 40-year-old man in Nsanje is feared dead after being attacked by a crocodile.

A Phokera based source Japhet Chiswipa said Gafali Nawo met his fate this morning on the Mozambican banks of the Shire river.

According to Chiswipa the man was attacked by the reptile while attending to his dugout canoe.

Meanwhile, coastal communities at Phokera have intensified a rigorous search for the missing person.

Of late, Phokera has become a hot spot for cases of human-wildlife conflict with the more recent victim being a man who was trampled to death by an agitated hippo while guarding his crop field.
