Kalindo to spend weekend at Mtakataka Police station in Dedza

Police have taken activist Bon Kalindo to Mtakataka police station in Dedza District where he is expected to spend three nights in the cooler.

According to media reports, the police vehicle that ferried him used Salima road to Dedza.

Kalindo has confirmed of the development with Nation online.

“The police haven’t done any harm to me. I have met good people here . I am in safe hands unless I don’t know what will happen later but it seems like the environment is conducive,” Kalindo is quoted as saying.

Kalindo has been arrested for allegedly jumping bail in a case dating back to 2021 where he claimed to have knowledge of people behind killings of persons with albinism but could not mention their names.
