Senior Chief Chimaliro of Thyolo district was involved in a motorcycle accident along Bingu road last night, according to the district’s director of health and social services, Dr. Arnold Jumbe. Dr.

Jumbe confirmed that the chief had suffered a head injury and has been referred to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for medical attention.

The accident occurred as Senior Chief Chimaliro was traveling from Thyolo boma to the Goliati area on his motorcycle.

However, the exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear.
