Information sourced by this publication indicates that that activist Bon Kalindo has spent a night in police cell despite a court order to have him released.

On Wednesday, the Chief Resident Magistrate Court in Lilongwe ordered for the immediate release of Kalindo.

According to the order issued yesterday by Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza, the warrant of arrest for Kalindo which was issued on Monday this week by the court has been suspended.

The Order also directed that the parties should attend an inter-partes hearing on the matter on September 8 2023.

Information at hand indicates that Kalindo has spent a night at Nkhunga police in Dwangwa.
