President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is scheduled to arrive back home today from South Africa where he attended the five member grouping of Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa (BRICS).
The Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.
According to the statement, Chakwera and his delegation through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.
The President left for Angola on August 16, 2023, where he attended the 43rd SADC Summit, after which he proceeded to the BRICS Outreach Summit in South Africa.
During this period, President Chakwera engaged in bilateral talks with several world leaders, from which Malawi is expected to benefit.
