The Civil Aviation departed has revealed the cause of plane crash that happened near Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.
The plane which had two people on board crash-landed in a village close to KIA, causing panic among villagers.
Speaking in an interview with the press Civil Aviation Acting Director Samuel Kalua attributed the crash to engine failure.
The plane had two people on board; the instructor and the student pilot.
Meanwhile, the two have since been rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
