MACRA gives Multichoice Malawi 30 Days To Pay K19,3 Million

The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) has ordered Multichoice Malawi to settle 19-million-kwacha unpaid license fees in 30 days.

This follows a notice of withdraw of DStv services which Multichoice Africa issued after a high court injunction stopped the company from adjusting upwards tariffs.

The order is among directives which MACRA has made to Multichoice Malawi and standing out are instructions of commencement of the voluntary revocation of license.

Consumers Associations of Malawi (CAMA) Executive Director, John Kapito, has since blamed the two sides for the continued battle which, he fears, will disadvantage Malawians.
