President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has arrived in Mzuzu ahead of consecration of Auxiliary Bishop Yohane Suzgo Nyirenda, of the Mzuzu Diocese of the Catholic Church.

Reverend Nyirenda will be consecrated this coming Saturday at a ceremony which will be held at Mzuzu Stadium.

Pope Francis appointed Nyirenda on the post in June this year.

State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima and other top government officials are scheduled to attend the ceremony.
