A 25-year old man, Madalitso Lowani, from Mchacha village Traditional Authority Mbawera in Thyolo district, has died after taking poison.

Thyolo police deputy spokesperson, Sergeant Rabecca Kashoti has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Kashoti, Lowani, consumed poisonous pesticides called organophosphate after his parents refused to give him money.

Kashoti added that the deceased was rushed to JK Private Clinic for medical attention where he died while receiving treatment.
