Former Zomba City mayor Christopher Jana has said he will contest for the Zomba City South constituency parliamentary seat.

Jana, who is the current Mpira ward councillor, said he wants to help in implementing development projects in the area.

Jana, a member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), said this during a developmental rally at Thundu Ground.

Others in attendance included DPP Eastern Region youth director Steven Bamusi and Zomba City legislator Bester Awali.
