Some Democratic Progressive Party members have obtained an injunction from High court to nullify resolutions that were made at the recent National Governing Council meeting the party held.

The claimants include; party’s vice president for the south, Kondwani Nankhumwa, Secretary General, Grezelder Jeffrey and party’s treasurer, Jappie Mhango.

The meeting among other things endorsed Peter Mutharika to lead the party in 2025 and adopting a functional review.
The court has therefore set August 10 for an inter-party hearing.
