Memorial Service Of Victims of 2011 Anti-Government Protests Underway in Mzuzu City

It has been exactly 12 years since 20 people lost their lives in Mzuzu during national anti-government protests.

As is customary, a memorial service for the deceased was held this morning at Mzuzu’s Zolozolo cemetery.

Among other notable people attending the event are Former Vice President Khumbo Kachali, Aford President Enock Chihana, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Deputy Secretary General Mganda Chiume and Director of National Unity and Peace in the Ministry of Local Government and National Unity, Gerard Chigona.
