The government has elevated Group Village Headman Ntetha and Traditional Authority Ndalama of Thyolo to the positions of Sub Traditional Authority and Senior Chief, respectively.

Speaking during the elevation ceremony at Adolorata Secondary School ground in the district, Deputy Minister of Local Government Owen Chomanika asked the chiefs to promote co-existence among their subjects.

Chomanika has further urged traditional leaders to be development conscious.
