Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that some lawmakers of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) are scheduled to meet former President Peter Mutharika at PAGE house in Mangochi.

According to inside source, the MPs want to pledge their full support to Mutharika ahead of the elective conference slated for July next year.

The MPs also wants to endorse Mutharika as the torchbearer in the forthcoming 2025 Presidential polls.

The meeting is slated for this coming Wednesday.

The development comes barely a week after the National Governing Council (NGC) endorsed Mutharika’s candidature.

Meanwhile, Mutharika has denied sponsoring his endorsement.
