Lilongwe District Council to spend MK2.5 million on flag pole relocation

Information reaching this publication indicates that the Lilongwe District Council will spend MK2.5 million in relocation of a flag-pole to another spot within its yard.

The development comes barely a week after the Northern Region Water Board came under fire for planning to spend over MK10 million to recruit Chief Executive Officer.

According to a MEMO seen by this publication, preparatory work for the exercise will cost the council about MK750,000.00.

The relocation of the flag pole according to the MEMO will cost the council MK1.6 million.

According to the memo, the whole exercise will cost the council money amounting to MK2.5 million.
