Man Arrested For Stealing Cattle In Balaka

Police in Balaka is keeping in custody a 39-year-old man for allegedly stealing cattle.
The suspect identifies as Frank Watson is alleged to have committed the offence on Monday afternoon of June 26 2023 within Balaka Township.
Balaka Police Station Public Relations Officer Inspector Gladson M’bumpha has said that on the particular afternoon, police officers were on general observation within Balaka Township and in course of their observation, they came across the suspect who was in possession of two cattle which he was offering for sale at a certain butcher man but he had no any valid document to substantiate that he is a true owner of the cattle.
This prompted the officers to probe him more on how he got the cattle but he failed to explain well and this led to the arrest of the suspect.
The Suspect is expected to appear before court soon to answer a charge of theft of cattle
