Former employees of Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) have sued the grain trader over what they call unfair dismissal, unsafe and unfair labour practices.
Through their lawyers, the retrenched Admarc employees are demanding damages for the unfair dismissal and for defamation after being labeled ‘thieves and corrupt’ in absence of a trial.
Alex Malikebu and other 3,281 employees have taken the matter to industrial relations court.
They were retrenched after former minister of Agriculture Lobin Lowe dissolved Admarc.
