Extreme FC 1-0 win against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers on Saturday at Bingu National Stadium has angered the Manoma’s camp as fans stopped the team officials and players from boarding their bus.

The team lost to the Mchinji side following a 38th minute goal into the first half by Gregory Mwase.

Players and team officials were whisked away from the disappointed fans using a MAFCO FC bus which they boarded at the back door of the stadium.

The disappointed fans consider the outcome of the game as a big brawl, and unexpected results.

Five minutes after conceding the goal, Wanderers sweeper Miracle Gabeya was sent off when he made rough challenge to his opponent, despite that incident the Nomads played impressive football into the second half.

After the match, Extreme FC Caretaker Coach Elvis Kafoteka praised his players for believing themselves to overcome and beat strong Nomads side.

Elvis Kafoteka – players believed for themselves

“We thank God for the victory and my players for sealing this big win. This is because of the new system that we have introduced and they have managed it well today.” explained Kafoteka.

Kafoteka added that everything is possible in football, then advised his players to put their hearts out, so that should forget about this victory and focus on grabbing future 3 points.

However, Nomads Assistant Coach Alfred Manyozo Jr. expressed big disappointment losing to the Mchinji side.

Manyozo Jr. – It is such a shame

“This is so embarrassing. It’s a shame that we went to Karonga and grabbed 3 points, as you know it is not easy to go to Karonga and collect 3points. We come here and drop points again to a team which is below log table. It is such a shame.” Manyozo Jr said

In other TNM Super League matches, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has beaten Ekwendeni United 4-1, as Tigers FC drew one all against Karonga United. FCB Nyasa Big Bullets tops log table with 20 points from 9 games played, while Silver Strikers second with 18 points and 8 games played while Mighty Mukuru Wanderers sits on third with 17 points, 9 games played.
