29-year-old Mine Simwaka, who was shot and killed by unknown assailants in Mumbwa, has had his body mysteriously disappear from the local hospital mortuary.

The incident came to light when police and relatives went to the mortuary for a postmortem examination and discovered the body was not present.

The mortuary register indicated that the body had been collected by unknown individuals on an unknown date and time.

Police have initiated an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the missing corpse.
