Five Arrested in Mulanje for Alleged Break-in and Theft at Limbuli Trading Centre

Over the weekend, five individuals were arrested in Limbuli Trading Centre, Mulanje, on charges of breaking and theft. Thoko Tebulo, Victor Steven, Henry Maseti, Nune Jackson, and Mongani Chimasulu pleaded not guilty to the accusations in front of the Magistrate’s court yesterday.

The charges stem from an alleged incident where the group is accused of breaking into Mr. James Khunyumbu’s house and stealing K170,000. However, the defendants maintain their innocence.

Following the plea, the magistrate has scheduled the hearing for June 13, 2023. Further proceedings will take place to examine the evidence and determine the outcome of the case.
