KAJOKE SUSPENDED, FAM FINES BANKERS, AGENT

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has suspended Hassan Kajoke from taking part in any international and local football activities until he pays back the K3.9 Million he got from Silver Strikers Football Club.

Kajoke’s time starts to tick now as he has been given a maximum of five days to pay back the money and the funds shall attract commercial bank lending rate interests if this period elapses.

FAM has also fined former Kajoke’s agent, Ken Mvula. He has been ordered to pay a fine of K500,000 and failure to comply will lead to revocation of his credentials as player-manager or participating in any other football-related activities in Malawi.

Silver Strikers FC Limited is supposed to pay a fine of K900,000 within five days after flouting terms of Article 24 (e) of the FAM’s Constitution.

The Article says, ”The independent committees shall fulfil their functions in accordance with the regulations.”
