Chilima’s criminal case moved to high Court for full trial

The Chief Resident Magistrate Court in Lilongwe has committed criminal case for Saulosi Chilima Vice President to the high court.

This comes as in the morning Chilima appeared before the Lilongwe Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Khoswe Chimwaza on charges related to Zunneth Sattar corruption case.

Chilima was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau and was charged with six counts surrounding corrupt practices by public officer.

Meanwhile Chimwaza has given direction on the matter and that now will be handled by high court for full trial.

Chrispin Khunga state lawyer described the move to high court as a remarkable progress in the case.

According to Khunga they can not disclose number of witnesses but people should expect a number of them to be paraded in the case.

And on his part George Mtchuka Mwale one of the defence lawyers said they are more than ready to battle it up in the court.
