Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) spokesperson Shadric Namalomba says, he can not comment on when the party shall replace its deputy chief whip in Parliament after the resignation of Mary Navicha last month.
Namalomba said, the resignation letter was addressed to the Leader of Opposition, Kondwani Nankhumwa, hence, he is better placed to comment on the vacancy.
Nankhumwa is yet to comment on the matter, but clerk of parliament, Ian Mwenye says there is no timeline for a political party to make such a replacement.
Navicha resigned amidst intra-party squabbles in DPP but she cited personal reasons for her stepping down.
