Man Commits Suicide by Drinking Pesticides in Lilongwe

A 52-year-old man from Kholongo Village in Lilongwe, Mackford Binison, has reportedly taken his own life by consuming pesticides used for treating tomatoes.

The incident was confirmed by Kanengo Police Spokesperson Gresham Ngwira, who said that Binison allegedly made his intentions known to his daughter before taking his own life.

Ngwira further disclosed that the deceased had returned from a drinking spree before committing the act, and that there was no suicide note left behind.

The motive for the suicide is yet to be established.

The late Binison hailed from Kholongo Village, T/A Mtema in Lilongwe.
