A 42-year-old man has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the Garden Compound Mutonyo area of Lusaka.

According to sources, the man had some marital disputes before his death and had a physical fight with his wife the day before.

The man’s wife, Alice Banda, stated that he was found drinking with his girlfriend at a market after getting paid and that it was his habit to go and drink with other women whenever he received his pay.

She also revealed that he sold their fridge and TV the previous day. The wife went to sleep elsewhere after their fight only to find her husband’s lifeless body hanging from the roof this morning.
