TNM plc on Friday donated K3 million to ICT Association of Malawi (Ictam) towards the ICT Expo scheduled to take place in Lilongwe from May 17 to18.
Speaking during cheque presentation in Blantyre, TNM plc chief information officer Peter Munthali said the expo offers a platform for innovation and the development of ICT.

“As an active player in the telecommunications industry, we see the expo as a platform to exhibit innovative, unique and diverse ideas, products, and services that have the proven theoretical capacity to enhance resilience,” he said.
Munthali said the expo will address issues that promote innovation, thereby enhancing the technological input to the country’s socio-economic development.
Ictam secretary general Andrew Kamwendo acknowledged the digital progress the country has made and emphasised the need to find solutions to the challenges the sector is facing.
“The country has made good progress in the adoption and usage of technology,” he said.
