‘Ayambe Kumbuyoko’ hit maker dies, burial today

The body of Pankalasio Pondani Phiko Phiri will be laid to rest today at his home village Kankhande, Traditional Authority Kachindamoto in Dedza.

Pankalasio is the one who composed the popular hymn number 74( chuma chathu) but popular known as Ayambe kumbuyoko.

Pondani Phiko Phiri died on Tuesday morning at his home in Mua Catholic Parish Dedza Diocese.

He was born in 1940 and hails from Nganja area, Kankhande village, Traditional Authority Kachindamoto, Dedza District.
