Govt warns fraudsters demanding money from TTCs students

Government through the Ministry of Education has warned all parents, guardians, teachers and students who are yet to report for classes in the Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs) IPTE 18 against paying school fees through Airtel Money or TNM Mpamba.
In a press statement released by the Ministry singed by Mphatso Mkuonera ministry’s public relations officer indicates that it has learnt with great concern that, there are some unscrupulous individuals who are calling on students to pay their fees through the mentioned platforms.
“The ministry warns all parents, guardians, teachers and students to regard such individuals as thieves, as the ministry has no such arrangements for school fees payment,” reads the statement.
The Ministry has therefore, encouraged all students who have been approached to pay fees through Airtel money, mpamba and any other unauthorized means to report such individuals to the police.
