A man identified as Osman Makwinja is on the run after he allegedly stabbed to death his 17-year-old step-son, Evance Mpaso of Sunganani village, Traditional Authority Chimaliro in Thyolo district.

Thyolo Police deputy publicist, Rabecca Kashoti has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Kashoti, on 16 April 2023, the deceased tried to separate a fight between his step father and mother a thing which angered the suspect and stabbed him with a knife on the chest.

Evance was then rushed to Chisoka health centre where he died upon arrival, owing to internal bleeding.
