An Airtel Malawi Plc official in Mzuzu has been arrested for allegedly duping clients of money through their Airtel money wallets.

Mzuzu Police Station Public Relations Officer, Paul Tembo has identified the suspect as 28-year-old Jacob Singini who was working as a customer service representative.

He will appear in court soon to answer theft charges.

Police are yet to ascertain the total amount of money that was stolen but they suspect it to be in millions because they received numerous complaints.
