Kaunda pushes govt to act on forthcoming hunger

Members of parliament have explained fears of possible hunger strike in most parts of the country.

This comes as many Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) are yet to be stocked with maize like Chizumulu and Likoma districts

Symon Vuwa Kaunda Legislator for Nkhatabay Central said for instance in his constituency many people are sleeping on empty bellies due to lack of staple grain.

Kaunda has also asked government through Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) that when they are distributing maize to flood victims they should also put maize in ADMARC deports.

According to Kaunda government should quickly help people as many are struggling to survive.
